Mark Zackery 2025 ND Commit

Indiana’s football scene has produced a standout for the 2025 Class: 6-foot, 160-pound Mark Zackery. Rated a four-star cornerback by 247Sports and ranked as the No. 59 player nationally, Zackery faced a tough decision with scholarship offers from powerhouse programs like Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, and USC. Ultimately, he picked Notre Dame.

Why did Zackery choose Notre Dame? The school’s storied football tradition and top-notch academics were key factors. However, the personal connections he built with coach Marcus Freeman and defensive backs coach Mike Mickens likely gave the Irish the edge.

Zackery has demonstrated his athletic prowess as both a cornerback and a wide receiver at Ben Davis. In college, Zackery is expected to focus on defense, but his versatility could see him playing multiple roles.
