Clemson 24 Notre Dame 22
The game ball should go to all those Clemson fans who sat through a monsoon to cheer their team on. For ND QB Kizer, this kid is unflappable.
Well, we did learn that the ND OL really is not as good as they think they are – absolutely horrid in the first half and remember Clemson has 8 new starters on defense.
RB Prosise had 3 yds rushing in the first half and finished with 50 total. The final play of the game was the 2 point conversion. Every OL knocked backward and McGlinchy all 6’8″ 350 lbs was obliterated by a LB – just an example. See Below:
Will Fuller had his lunch handed to him by Mackenzie.
So it’s raining and you come out super flat, commit 4 turnovers and at least 6 easy pass drops. Now you are down 21-3 going into the 4th quarter – how the hell do you expect to win? Back to Kizer, passed for 321 yds with one very bad pick, but he was also our leading rusher.
I still have problems with Kelly’s play calling. It is way too predictable. On the other hand, the Clemson coach Dabo turned into a turtle and held on for dear life. Time for ND OC Sanford to call the plays – after all that’s why he was hired.
ND finished with 437 total yds to Clemson’s 296.
Starting ND LG Q. Nelson hurt his ankle in first half, but Bars came in and played well.
Going ahead we just have to hope Kizer gets better each week for the running game isn’t there against the big boys.
Our 2 signature wins are Texas and GT. Those teams are now Texas 1-4 got drubbed 50-7 by TCU and GT now 2-3 losing to NC 38-31.
The Only good news this weekend is that 4 star TE 2017 Cole Kmet committed and he joins 4 star TE Brock Wright. The future is bright there.
