Josh Barajas | Commit Number 9 For 2015 Class

ILB Josh Barajas 6’3″ 210 Four Star from Merriville Indiana flipped from Penn State and committed to Notre Dame today.

Barajas had many offers including PSU, Oregon, Tenn. and Michigan. He originally committed to Penn State in March, which was a complete shock to the ND Staff. They thought they had him in the bag. He virtually lives down the road from ND and everyone thought he was a lock for the Irish including his HS coach.

Mike Elston never gave up on him and remained in touch with his HS coach trying to get him back. In the end Josh told his coach he wanted ND and said he was firm about it. Parents, close distance and Notre Dame prestige were the main deciding factors.

I like his size 6’3″ for an ILB and he can move and we do need ILB’s – so VanGorder must be quite happy about flipping this kid.
