Commit Number Six For 2015 Class

Nicco Fertitta 5’10” 170 Defensive Back and or Safety from Bishop Gorman HS in Las Vegas Nevada bumps the Class to six. He was long on ND’s radar he committed over the weekend.

He has camped at ND, so the coaches must really like him for he’s just a tad small – since they seem to prefer DB’s in the 6’1″ range. Reportedly, he runs a 4.5 40 yard dash on a consistent basis so he has the speed.

He currently ranks as a 3 Star but has also been invited to the US Army All American squad. current offers include Arizona, BC, Utah and Houston although he’s now getting attention from some of the bigger names.

Although this appears to be a redshirt year for him to bulk up, he is maybe just what the team needs as a gunner on Special Teams. We shall see, but I think we can all pull for this kid.

He reminds me of Stan Smagala who was offered by Faust and then told by Holtz that he could keep the offer but probably never see the field. Stan had an outstanding career at ND.
