Georgia Tech Week 2015

Paul Johnson, the cerebral HC at Georgia Tech has been waiting years to come into ND Stadium with a real football team as opposed to when he was at Navy. Now he has first class athletes and they are not outweighed 50lbs per man.

Think Navy on steroids and after watching the UVA game, where the ND defense was gassed, ND really has a lot to worry about. Right at the top is the play of the ND safety’s.

I think Redfield is on very thin ice and it’s too bad the grad transfer from Cal. is injured. I was surprised he couldn’t beat out Redfield or Shumate. Something has to be done here as well as with Devin Butler who looks clueless.

Bob Elliott has been studying this triple option offense all year, consulting with other programs etc. I hope he dropped by Va. Tech. They beat GT 17-10 in 2013 and while they lost to GT 2014 they only lost 27-24. So it is possible to slow them down as Duke and Georgia did last year.

GT has played 2 cupcakes this year beating Alcorn State 69-9 and Tulane 66-10 tuning up for the Irish.

ND simply can’t let GT control the clock so VanGorder better have his “D” ready. On offense OL coach Hiestand has to get more out of these guys – every year “strength of the team” yet can’t get 1 yard when they have to.

We can’t outscore them so we have to stop them. If he’s completely healthy I would start Grace inside, but then again could he handle the cut blocks?
