Going Forward
ND is licking its wounds after a tough loss in the rain to a team, that I believe, is going nowhere.
Clemson really doesn’t have the offense to make it anywhere near the top four. A rebuilt defense threw our OL around like rag dolls. I wasn’t sold on this OL and far too many times they can’t get 2-3 yards when needed.
Clemson’s DL indicated that they could read what or where ND would run the ball (see my previous post and clip from the last play). They are all running to the spot where Kizer intended to go. This play should have been a roll out pass or run. McGlinchy looked like he was poleaxed.
Anyhow, going ahead we are going to see a stacked box from everyone we play – so I say let’s go pass crazy and hope to pop a big run every once in awhile and for God’s sake get Wimbush into these games.
While I like Kizer’s demeanor, he does not have the arm nor the run capability of Wimbush. Put Kizer under center once in awhile and go pass action.
Well let’s see who we have left to play… The only sure win is Wake Forest.

- USC: 3-1
- Temple: 4-0
- Pitt: 3-1
- Wake Forest: 2-3
- BC: 3-2
- Stanford: 4-1
Unfortunately, I see 3 more L’s here and a fight to the end with everyone except Wake.
