Golson Is Gone

It is not totally unexpected that EG is leaving ND to play his 5th year at another school.

I think this deal was sealed when he lost the start against LSU. He also wasted everyone’s time at Spring Practice and did not seal the deal over Zaire.

Something happened to Golson after the FSU game almost like he mentally shut down. It was painful watching a kid fall apart. I just don’t see him as a Russell Wilson and I don’t see him picking up a new offense quick enough to be a factor at a big time school – maybe Miami Ohio with Chuck Martin or Diaco at UCONN.

Zaire just looks and acts as a gung-ho leader and while not a great passer that didn’t hurt Tim Tebow at Florida. ND really needs a fiery guy at QB and Zaire is super confident.

The 2 QB system would not have worked this upcoming season. It just would have been a drag on the development of Zaire. Give him the reins and just go.

Incoming recruit DE Bo Wallace decided not to arrive with the other commits so the roster whittling its way down to 85.
