Notre Dame At Pitt Saturday – Predictions

With the Playoff rankings out and ND slotted at a surprising 5th, if that does not get the players fired up nothing will. They need a little help, but mostly it is entirely up to this team to bring it home over the final 4 games. It starts with Pitt and ND absolutely must put on a show. They need a 3 TD win.

So lets look at Pitt (6-2) under new HC Narduzzi, formerly DC at Michigan State. He is a very good defensive coach losing only to Iowa 27-24 and North Carolina 26-19.

While the D is good the offense is just so so with the loss of their RB star Connor leaving only WR Tyler Boyd to carry the offense. With that said, Pitt did have 415 total yards against North Carolina and Boyd caught 10 passes for 89 yards so ND must shut him down. Pitt was sacked 5x last week so Day and Rochelle should have a big game.

Narduzzi likes to play MSU football – run the ball and defense. He is also very familiar with the Kelly offense. I would really like to see some uptempo from ND and a few picks on defense.

Time to stop fooling around, we need style points from here on out and that means ND needs 40 points anyway they can get it.
