Notre Dame VS Miami Predictions

These are not the Jimmy Johnson/Lou Holtz teams. Both floundering with Miami trying to right the ship by hiring Mark Richt who was fired by Georgia. I have no idea if Richt is a good coach, but he does seem to be a nice guy.

Brian Kelly, I believe, is about an inch short of losing this team. He has a bunch of assistant coaches that have been following him around for years and are basically MAC coaches.

The ones who have left are not doing well as HC’s. Kelly will not hire a first rate DC – that would hold his ground in an argument with Kelly, that would challenge his authority.

Just look what happened with Mike Sanford, hired as a very hot OC who ran the Boise State offense. I just can’t see where his input is used at all in Kelly’s offense. I am sure he already has one foot out the door which will leave Kelly handling the QB’s. We all know how that worked out. Now he’s screwing up Kizer.

Now to the game. Miami has a good QB in Kaaya with a rather weak OL. Then again the ND DL has a habit of taking plays off.

What Miami does have is a pretty good front seven. This does not bode well for Kizer and the ND OL. And that will be how this game turns out with Miami shutting down the running game and harassing and sacking Kizer.

Miami only lost to Florida State by 1 (20-19) and North Carolina by 7 (20-13). Miami will come out really fired up and just whip ND in every facet of the game. What makes this so sad is the complete waste of a talent like Kizer.
