Suicide Bowl ND Vs LSU
The fact that Kelly and ND lobbied to play LSU as opposed to say Tennessee leads me to believe that Kelly is totally detached from reality – like Hitler in his bunker moving around phantom divisions on his war map.
You just gotta listen to his press conference. Every position is up for grabs, full contact practices. There will be a lot of hitting going on and only the toughest will survive. Here is the press conference:
The main problem is only about 3 guys aren’t injured. I suggested in my last post that OL guys not playing should become DL. I’m sure a lot of them played both ways in HS. Who’s available:
- Conor Hanratty – 310
- John Montelus – 310
- Colin McGovern – 313
- Hunter Bivin – 296
- Mark Harrell – 306
I left out the redshirts, but no doubt in my mind that Quenton Nelson will be starting on the 2015 OL.
Kelly mentions that 4 players want a draft evaluation:
- Golson
- Stanley
- Martin
- Day
They have to be kidding…
There will be a QB competition. I have no doubt that Kelly will start Golson which would be a mistake. He better start Zaire and if he messes up send in Golson to save the day.
LSU finished 8-4, but rank 4th in the country in pass defense. They will jam the box and we could end up with minus rush yds. LSU DL must be salivating to get a shot at this ND OL.
On offense they have the big back Leonard Fournette 6’1″ 230 lbs – kid was all world in HS.
Charley thought he had a good team in 2006 and he got obliterated in his Bowl vs. LSU.
The only thing I see coming out of this game is we lose OL recruit from Louisiana Jerry Tillery.
