After going 11-1 this year Kelly grabs the $$ and is the new coach of LSU. Not bothering to tell his Assistant Coaches – one of which just left a recruits house.
In other news ND coasted past Stanford this past weekend 45-14. Please seen the highlights.
After the break ND had its 4th Practice. Check out the latest Brian Kelly press conference. He basically gives a rundown on what needs to be done and that nothing is really set in stone for certain positions.
The good news is that ND doesn’t get to play Alabama and probably lose 100 to 0. Alabama has RB’s the size of our Lineman or at least look like it.
Ian Book was harassed, hurried, hit and sacked the entire game. The ND receivers weren’t getting separation so that when Book finally got time no one was open. Book became skittish and made frequent hurried passes and just throwing up hopefuls.
In the end take some hope that ND held Clemson to 7 points in the 2nd half.
Out coached, out played and nowhere near a top 4 team. Losing Love was a hit, but the coaches have to compensate for that.
ND would not get anywhere near beating Oklahoma nor Alabama. Not many teams would – just size alone rules ND out.
Remember this was a true freshman QB who we set up for next years Heisman.
Here are the game highlights:
Here is the Brian Kelly post game press conference:
Brian Kelly nabbed his 2nd AP Coach of The Year Award. He last won in 2012 where again he went 12-0. Nick Saban was second and first time coach Josh Heupel from Central Florida came in third.
Earlier he won the Home Depot Coach Of The Year Award.
Brian Kelly starts off saying that there are no injuries and that they “Don’t have anybody that would not play against Michigan right now”.
An intersting point during this press conference was when he was questioned who will be starting at QB. He said Wimbush is definitely starting, but he mentioned that Ian Book will never be the runner that Brandon Wimbush is and that Wimbush will never bee the passer that Book is – basically that they will both be valuable to win.
It sounds like Kelly is not very confident in Wimbush’s passing game – In fact, he states Wimbush probably wouldn’t be surprised if Book comes in to take over in certain situations. It will be interesting to see if both will play during the Michigan game.
Kelly also states that the team is tired of practicing and is ready to start playing real games.
Brian Kelly meets the press for the weekly conference and so far there are no big injuries. ND will now go the next 2 weeks to prepare for the Michigan game.
