The only way this makes sense is if he was told he’s currently listed behind the 3rd QB Brendon Clark.

Clark apparently spends a lot of time working out at QB schools and reportedly has a rocket arm and is quite accurate. He’s 6’2″ 217 lbs and can also run the ball.

Here is an interesting interview with Phil Jurkovec after the Blue Gold game – he doesn’t sound very confident:

Notre Dame will open Sunday at Culver Academy. 5 days there and then back to campus.

There is not much to be learned here except the concern about the LB position.

Both Book and Jurkovec camped this summer and Kelly stated they are not going to dabble in Jurkovec’s throwing motion. He’s never seen that work. So the number 2 guy – just do what got you here.
