Wake Forrest At Notre Dame Predictions

Saturday is Senior Day, last Home Game of the Season. ND currently #4 in the Playoff battle, but it won’t take much to knock them over. That is why they have to throttle Wake.

The best thing Wake has going for them is a hot young coach who has kept them in most games this year even though they are 3-6. They hung in there vs. Florida State losing 24-16, beat Boston College 3-0, lost to Louisville 20-18 and were trounced by North Carolina 50-14. They really aren’t too far off from having 6 wins.

This is a very young team with a gung-ho young coach who has had 2 weeks to think up every trick play possible. This guy is looking for that signature win and knocking ND out of the Playoffs would be perfect.

ND is favored by 21, but they better lay at the very least 45 points on these guys – take them out early and play the reserves – especially the LB’s. What we have now just won’t do it against Stanford.

We can expect blitzes coming from all over and I expect Wake to go uptempo the entire game to wear out Day and Rochelle. Jaylon Smith has to put up big plays in his last home game. Joe Schmidt has to improve because Wake is going to go right at him.

At the end of the day ND blows them out or blows their Playoff opportunity.
